Common Yeast Infection Treatment

Yeast infection is also known Candidiasis and it occurs due of invasion of a type fungus named candida Albican. Since there are different types of yeast infection can be found in different parts of the body, treatment for yeast infection varies according to the location of the infection. However, some methods are able to cure all type of Candidiasis with a single formula. It depends on what method you are using to get rid of this infection. Here are some common methods of candidiasis treatment have included-
  1.  Antifungal cream – There are many over-the-counter antifungal creams are available to cure yeast infection. They are used widely as they are easy to apply. You just need to clean surface properly and apply the cream onto the affected area. Clotrimazole is one of the antifungal creams to cure candidiasis. However, these creams are only suitable for external use like genital infection. 
  2. Oral medication – This method is suitable for the patients who have severe complain of infection in different parts of the body. These drugs come in tablet and pill form, and some common oral medicines for yeast infections are Fluconazole, Griseofulvin, Gynazole, Itraconazole, Terbinafine etc.  The antifungal properties of these medicines actively fight against Candida Albicans and stop infection as well. However, these medicines have some side effects and patients often experience drowsiness, slow reflexes, high blood pressure, depression etc. after its consumption. For this reason, it should not be consumed without doctor’s prescription. 
  3. Homeopathic – This is relatively easy method to get rid of yeast infection. Yestrol is a homeopathic product that is composed of 12 active homeopathic ingredients. Being homeopathic medicine it is free from adverse health effects like drowsiness, slow reflexes etc. This single product cures multiple symptoms of yeast infection and its usage is easy than other methods.  
  4. Suppositories – This is only suitable to cure vaginal yeast infection. This type of medicine comes in solid form and dissolves after inserting it in the vagina. An applicator is used to insert suppository inside easily. However, doctors’ prescription is required to use this for candidiasis treatment.
    However, whatever the method you use to get rid of candidiasis, make sure it is safe to use, especially if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mother. It is advised to consult with doctor before taking oral medication and suppositories.
